It's now been six years since I found a small, sleepy town in Mexico and decided to call it home. The life that has come to me because of that decision couldn't be more amazing. I absolutely love what I do and couldn't imagine dedicating myself to anything else.
I am very honored to have been recently named one of the 30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography by Rangefinder magazine and have had my weddings featured in various publications including Destination Weddings and Honeymoons, Destination I Do, and The Knot.
I am available for editorial and travel work and absolutely can't get enough of either. Past clients and features include The New York Times, Frommer's Travel Guides, Vogue Brazil, and Club Intrawest Hotels.
I also spend a fair amount of time documenting the stories of non-profits located in Mexico including Entreamigos, a community center and library in my small town of San Pancho, and Frente en Defensa de Wirikuta, devoted to saving the sacred grounds of the Huichol Indians in central Mexico.
Basically what it comes down to is, I tell stories. I shoot film. I love it. The end.
admin - Thank you Shukura! Yes it’s medium format. I’m pretty sure it was Kodak Portra, but it could be Fuji 400h.
Shukura Li - The first photograph is so amazing and powerful i just had to comment.

Elyse Fishkin - Hi Jillian,
We met at Pash and Connery’s wedding. I really liked talking and laughing with you. I saw the wedding weekend photos and felt compelled to tell you that you are so talented and captured some astounding moments.
It was lovely to relive the wedding through your eyes.
I hope you are happy and doing well…and perhaps our paths will cross yet again.
Best,
Elyse
