Heather+Tomas | Soufrière, St. Lucia

Word of mouth is my absolute favorite way to get clients because I know any friends or family of my previous clients are going to be as amazing as my clients themselves. I was lucky enough to find that in Heather and Tomas. Heather’s brother Tai was a guest at one of my fave weddings of all time, Chris and Myle’s in Sayulita and San Pancho which you can see here. When Tomas contacted me about finding a way for me to shoot their wedding in St. Lucia I jumped at the chance. We all stayed at the Stonefield Estate Villa Resort which is located at the base of the Pitons and overlooking the Caribbean and is my style of resort for sure. Small, bungalow type cabanas set into the hillside and very unassuming.

It truly was such a pleasure spending time with all of their family and friends and I can not thank them enough for the opportunity to get to know the people of Soufrière where I spent two nights after the wedding wandering the streets and taking photos. Those will come in a later post because there’s just too much to even think about putting it all in one.

San Pancho Days

In honor of it being the town fiestas in Sayulita here are some Holga shots from last years fiestas in San Pancho. There’s even one of me in there doing my absolute favorite activity of all time: throwing rocks at beer bottles in order to win cans of Modelo. Love. It.

The following cross-processed shots are from the rodeo the last night of the fiestas. A friend of mine was organizing it so I got to go hang out behind the scenes with the guys, my Holga, and a flash. I dig them.

Camille+Djamel | Sayulita, Mexico

As promised here is the full post of Camille and Djamel’s wedding that was featured in Destination I Do magazine. They got ready at Villa Amor and the wedding and reception were held at Brisa del Mar. As always amazing design and planning my Yazmin and Nierica at Sea of Dreams. It’s always up in the air July, but it was definitely looking like rain. It held off until after the ceremony, but then the sky opened up which made for some sick lightening shots.

Pimienta

Cutest dog ever? Possibly. Kodak Portra 800 also helps a bit. Contax 645. No post processing whatsoever. Ah film.

Camille and Djamel’s sweet Sayulita wedding is being featured in the upcoming issue of Destination I Do magazine on sale tomorrow. Design and planning by Yazmin and Nierica at Sea of Dreams. Held at Villa Amor and Brisa del Mar. Full post to come later in the week.
