Jessica and Peter held their super sweet wedding at Villa Amor with a welcome party the night before at Captain Cook’s on the beach in Sayulita. Some of my favorites on film and digital.
I always say how lucky I am that my clients find me. Paige and Kris are no exception. As soon as I met Paige with her slight Southern drawl and their super laid back plans for their wedding, I knew it was a match. When their original venue fell through they were lucky enough to find Casa Teitiare through Kerry Moehler their incredible wedding planner extraordinaire. Casa Teitiare is probably my favorite location in Sayulita to shoot at with it’s expansive private beach and grassy lawn dotted with palm trees it just screams wedding goodness. That along with a dance party of epic proportions made for an incredible night. See the portrait session we did in San Pancho a few days later here.
Their wedding is also being featured in Destination Weddings and Honeymoons magazine coming out this week. Check out the spread here.
My brother got married. I shot it on film… mostly. I brought the whole arsenal with me including the GA645 which is what takes the amazing straight on flash photos that you’ll see in the reception. I’ve shot friends’ weddings before, but this was a whole different ball game. You see moments that most people would take for granted, but because you’re part of the family you know you want them. Every wedding I’ve shot since then has been like that for me which is why I actually make myself a part of each and every event so I can capture those moments that might otherwise be missed. Moments are what get you through this crazy thing called life. This movie that we are struggling to get through together. Mine is usually a comedy with me being on the receiving end of the jokes, but on this day it was a love story plain and simple.
