Millie+Jared’s Sayulita wedding was recently featured in the national issue of The Knot magazine. Love how the color just pops in this wedding. best destination wedding photographer
Solange and Brian’s insanely wonderful New York wedding was featured in Vogue.com last week and in this month’s issue of Brides magazine. Solange is a stylist for Paper magazine and understandingly so her wedding was full of the most perfect details you can imagine. Nothing over the top, just the right amount to make their day picture perfect. You can check out more images and their incredible story here. The full post will be up as soon as I’m done traveling on the west coast for my end of summer weddings.
I’m loving all the press this celebration got as it was my favorite of the year (which may or may not be because Brian is a producer for This American Life and they had an actual story they recorded and played during the ceremony, but I’ll save that for the wedding post).
Missy and Matt’s Sayulita wedding at Brisa del Mar (Don Pedro’s Palapa) is being featured in this months Destination Weddings & Honeymoons magazine. Mar Weddings executed their vision perfectly and had gorgeous succulent details with simple hard wood tables. For future brides planning their wedding at the palapa it’s especially nice to have your dinner outside of the actually structure. There’s something about sitting over Sayulita and watching the stars that you just can’t beat.
Jennie and Eric’s drop dead gorgeous affair at Las Cruces in Baja California is featured this month in Santa Barbara magazine. They chose some of my favorites for the spread and it looks beautiful. I have a wedding up there later this year so anyone in the Santa Barbara area that wants to hang give me a shout!
Emily and Marco had one of my favorite celebrations of 2013. September is the perfect time of year for a wedding in New York and theirs did not disappoint. They had a kick ass New Orleans jazz band play throughout, Saipua florals and decorations, and it was black tie all the way. My clients never fail to impress and these two brought it big time. Emily wore this insane J. Mendel top, Christian Dior skirt (with black tulle layered underneath) and metallic Dior heels. Totally untraditional and completely amazing.
The girls started getting ready at the Greenwich Hotel in Manhattan where the rehearsal dinner was held the night before. On the way from the hotel to Wave Hill I found out most of the “non-bridesmaids” and the bride had gone to my high school, albeit five years later. I felt old.
Wave Hill is this amazing oasis in the middle of the Bronx. The location makes for an incredible backdrop to a wedding and Saipua managed to make it even more incredible with their event design and florals. After a few hours kicking it to The Swamp Donkeys and killer DJ everyone got back on the bus and headed downtown to Joe’s at the Public for the after party. By that time I was technically done and was able to indulge in a few cocktails and sliders in a theatre where basically every thespian you’ve ever heard of has hit the stage. A good night was had by all.
This wedding was also featured in the special issue of Martha Stewart Weddings, on their website and on the oh so lovely wedding blog Once Wed. You can see their rehearsal dinner at Locanda Verde here and the polaroids from their day here.
