Family Session | Sayulita, Mexico

Andrea and Gabi are two amazing wedding planners in Sayulita and they happen to also have the most bad ass family down here so I was stoked when Andrea asked me to take some maternity/family photos of them. I immediately knew I wanted to shoot film and in various different formats because it would fit their personalities perfectly. You can see the polaroids I shot of them here and my favorites from the day below.

Sharkpig.

Sharkpig is an amazing videographer and crazy cool dude who I got the chance to work with on Carolyn and Pete’s wedding in Sayulita. Anyone looking to get a rad videographer for their wedding should definitely contact Mr. Brian Morrow. He shoots all over the world and will make your day look as awesome as it felt. Seriously. He is good. Even I look good dancing after a ten hour day. That is impressive.

To see the photos go here. Brian is the sharp looking gentleman with all the cameras.

Mila+Shawn | Yelapa, Mexico

I am so lucky that people find me. I do almost no marketing whatsoever and rely mostly on word of mouth and a few blogs here and there, but that’s the way I want it. I want couples who truly love my work and want me to be a part of their day. Photographing a wedding is so very personal. If it all works the way it should you become another friend at the wedding documenting their love. That’s what I strive to do. With Mila and Shawn it was easy. Theirs was an intimate affair held at the incredible boutique hotel Verana in Yelapa, Mexico. Yelapa is a town only accessible by boat with no cars to speak of. It is on the complete Southern point of this small town covering the hills with it’s excuisitely designed villas. By far the most beautiful hotel in this area albeit a little hard to get to, but hey that’s where the adventure comes in and this adventure was a big one. My favorite weddings are the small ones. So settle in, this is a long one. I already cut a lot, but I just couldn’t bring myself to make the post any shorter because the day itself was so incredibly beautiful.

Their wedding was also featured on Green Wedding Shoes. Head over there to see more details and read about the vendors like Mila’s insane Nicholas Kirkwood shoes. I don’t wear heels and even I had shoe envy.
