It’s rare that I get to photograph a traditional Mexican wedding. Almost all of my clients come from the US to Mexico for their destination weddings so when Paulina contacted me last year about her wedding in Aguascalientes I was stoked. There are several amazing Mexican wedding photographers on the scene right now so it really was an honor that she asked me to be a part of her day.
Destination weddings in Mexico and local weddings are very, very different. The biggest difference being how long they party. Mexican weddings go straight through the night into the next morning if not the actual next day. On top of that they’re big, very big, and this one was no exception. 600+ guests. The biggest wedding I’ve ever shot. Luckily I had Mon Trujillo with me to help capture all the action.
Almost all of the images below are film with the exception of some of the reception shots.
