You get told you never really appreciate where you grew up until you leave. In my case that’s just as true, but I left pretty early on, first for boarding school and then wherever the hell my little legs could take me. Not that coastal Massachusetts isn’t amazing, but at that age you want to see the rest of the world… or at least New York. Now I’m lucky enough to get asked to document love in my old stomping ground and with some incredibly talented friends. Megan and John had a classic coastal wedding in Westport, Massachusetts where I used to work and get my self into all sorts of good trouble at the Back Eddy. If you’ve never been it’s right on the Westport river, has a killer sunset and even better margaritas. My close friends Kristen, Marc, and Sally from Smoke & Pickles did the food (hands down THE BEST catering in all the land) and everything had a nautical vibe due to John being an offshore lobsterman (homegrown New England all the way).
